AUSTIN (KXAN) -- Looking to develop a green thumb? The Wimberley Village Library will host a grand opening of its new "seed library" program on Friday morning.
The grand opening will be held at the library from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event was organized by Keep Wimberly Beautiful, Wimberley Village Library, and the Native Plant Society of Texas, according to the event flyer.
The event will focus on what there is to learn about seeds and how to use the new service. The library will also have heirloom/non-GMO vegetable seeds and herbs, according to organizers.
Libraries across Austin also have "seed libraries" where you can donate or borrow seeds without needing a library card.
