NBA Finals preview?!
The Golden State Warriors are back at it today, continuing their five game road trip with a stop in Boston to face the defending champion Celtics.
That’s right folks, Boston didn’t give up after the Warriors stunned them in the 2022 NBA Finals in six games to win the 4th title of the Stephen Curry-era. The Celtics retooled, reloaded, and reupped their championship bloodthirst to continue having the most franchise titles in NBA history (18).
But the Warriors have done some retooling of their own, and have had a hot start to the season at 6-1. We’ll see if the Warriors have something up their sleeves for the champs tonight on the parquet floor.
Two of the hottest teams in the NBA

Curry and the 6-1 Warriors face off against Tatum and the 7-1 Celtics tonight at 7:30pm/et on ESPN! pic.twitter.com/1b8A4CZMyI
Brandin Podziemski is now questionable tonight at Boston with an illness. He was at shootaround this morning. Left Monday’s game at Wizards when he didn’t feel well.

Not only is this a clash of two of the last three NBA champions, this is also a bit of a revenge storyline for Celtics fans who couldn’t believe their star Jayson Tatum barely played in the summer Olympics. What does that have to do with the Warriors, you ask? Well Dubs coach Steve Kerr was the coach for Team USA when they stormed their way to the gold in Paris.
To add insult to injury for annoyed Celtics fans, their other star Jaylen Brown wasn’t even selected to join the team!
Tonight.

But there’s also some vengeance for Golden State to exact on Boston after the Celtics humiliated the Dubs last season 140-88. That was arguably the most preposterous beatdown Golden State suffered last season, and it was a statement game from the soon-to-be champs.

Draymond Green said the Warriors implemented the strategy to sag off Jaylen Brown “like 15 minutes before we left the locker room.”

Well, well, well, everybody wants some revenge tonight huh? PERFECT, that’s what makes it must see TV. I’m very interested to see how Andrew Wiggins and Jonathan Kuminga deal with the dynamic duo of Tatum-Brown. Wiggins stifled Tatum in the 2022 NBA Finals and garnered Finals MVP consideration for his gritty effort. Kuminga wants to take the leap to the next tier of dominant wing player sin the league, and Brown has solidified himself with his Finals MVP as one of those guys.
Let’s see how it all plays out tonight, next!
