New Delhi: This story is straight out of a fairy tale about a princess and her prince charming. Here the princess is Anisha Rosnah, who was until recently, a relatively unknown person. Now, she is a well-known entity in Brunei.
She married Prince Abdul Mateen, a member of the royal family of Brunei and son of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei, one of the world’s wealthiest monarchs, with an estimated net worth of $30 billion, as reported by Economic Times.
Prince Abdul Mateen was widely regarded as one of Asia’s most eligible bachelors before he married Rosnah.
Before coming to limelight, Anisha was busy with her work in fashion and as a co-owner of a tourism company. She is the granddaughter of one of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah’s chief advisors.
Armed with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Bath in the UK, she owns the fashion label Silk Collective and co-founded the tourism company Authenrirary.
The royal wedding took place at the iconic Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque in Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital of Brunei. It was declared on Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah’s orders. On 7 January 2024, the Majlis Istiadat Bersuruh Diraja marked the beginning of the royal wedding and the royal wedding reception was held on 14 January 2024.
Prince Mateen is a helicopter pilot, a major in the Royal Brunei Air Force, and a professional polo player. He has represented his country in polo at the 2017 and 2019 Southeast Asian Games. His hobbies include association football, horse riding, boxing, skiing, tennis, drums, and guitar.
