Despite Tom Cruise reportedly working hard to avoid ex-wife Nicole Kidman at last year’s awards season, he may be making a career move that could affect Kidman as well.
Take it back to 1989, when Cruise and Kidman first met on the set of Days of Thunder. Their whirlwind romance started and ended, with both of them later remarrying and moving on. However, Cruise may be bringing the past back because he’s reportedly considering starring in a sequel to the NASCAR drama Days of Thunder.
Per Hello, it’s alleged that Cruise is considering reviving this movie since Mission Impossible is seemingly coming to an end, despite his ex-wife being attached to it.
However, Deadline reported that there’s no creative brief attached to the project. It’s unclear right now if it’s just an allegation, or in the early stages. But either way, fans have so many questions about Cruise and Kidman potentially sharing the screen again.
As we said before, Cruise and Kidman met and fell in love on the set of Days of Thunder back in 1989. After a year together, they tied the knot in a private ceremony on Christmas Eve in 1990 in Telluride, Colorado.
In 1992, Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise adopted a daughter named Isabella Jane, and in 1995, they adopted a son named Connor. But in 2001, Cruise filed for divorce from her, which was finalized quite quickly.
