'Very high priced': OKCPD searching for suspect in costly warehouse burglary

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — Oklahoma City police say they haven't identified a second suspect accused of burglarizing a southeast metro warehouse last week in an alleged attempt to steal copper.

Court documents say police got a call from the warehouse manager October 25 that he heard someone with a saw inside and when he went to the southwest door of the building, a White male ran out the back and dropped copper wire.

"There was some heavy damage inside the building," said Oklahoma City Police Sergeant Dillon Quirk. "It appeared that several copper wires were stripped inside the building."

Officers set up a perimeter around the building, but after a search, they were only able to find one suspect, Dennis Norrbom, who was riding a skateboard in the warehouse.

Norrbom was taken into custody and booked on a burglary complaint. He already had a previous felony burglary conviction in 2023.

Court documents say an officer discovered that someone had torn out an air conditioning vent on the side of the building and forced their way in through a hole in the wall. Police believe the copper wiring was being stripped to be stolen and illegally sold.

"It's very high priced in value," said Quirk.

Documents say over $300,000 worth of damage was done inside of the building and the electrical lines powering the building were cut as well.

"That second person is yet to be identified," said Quirk regarding potential leads on a second arrest. "Obviously, anybody with information regarding this, we want to hear from them through Crime Stoppers."

Police haven't shared any details on what the accused accomplice could look like, and documents don't indicate if Norrbom offered up any information that could help with the investigation.
