Indian Army has begun verification patrolling in Demchok and Depsang in eastern Ladakh. This follows the disengagement agreement with China. Troops from both countries exchanged sweets at various border points on Diwali after the disengagement. The agreement aims to resolve the issues that arose in 2020 and reduce tension along the Line of Actual Control.
