Welcome to the Southern California News Group’s high school football score updates for Friday, Nov. 1.
We’ll have updates from throughout the area, including highlights provided by our reporters at the games.

We’ll be updating the scores from the top games throughout the night:
ORANGE COUNTY
1st Q: Orange Lutheran 7, Mater Dei 0
Orange Lutheran senior quarterback TJ Lateef (Nebraska commit) scored on a 1-yard touchdown run with 5:09 left in the first quarter. This is only the second time Mater Dei has trailed in a game this season, according to Michael Huntley.
Note: The Monarchs would earn an outright Trinity League title with a win. Mater Dei is coming off a 59-14 win against St. John Bosco last week.
1st Q: Mission Viejo 14, Los Alamitos 0
Alabama cornerback commit Dijon Lee returned the opening kickoff 89 yards for a touchdown with 11:47 left in the first quarter.
A 1-yard touchdown run by Mission Viejo running back Hinesward Lilomaiava puts the Diablos up 14-0 with 4:33 left in the first quarter.
Note: The Diablos would earn an outright Alpha League title with a win. Mission Viejo would be crowned the best public high school football program in Orange County.
1st Q: Capistrano Valley 3, Tustin 0
Note: Both teams are undefeated in the Delta League. This is a winner-take-all league title game.
1st Q: St. John Bosco 3, JSerra 0
A field goal by junior kicker CJ Wallace (Washington commit) put the Braves up 3-0 with 7:16 left in the first quarter.
Note: Bosco has already secured one of the Trinity League’s three automatic playoff berths. JSerra is looking for an upset, which could shake up the CIF-Southern Section Division 1 playoffs.
Servite (6-3) at Santa Margarita (3-6)
Both squads will look to improve their potential to receive an at-large CIF-SS D1 playoff berth.
1st Q: Beckman 0, Marina 0
The Patriots would earn an outright Lambda League title with a win.
1st Q: Troy 7, El Toro 3
Troy’s Ethan Mundt scored on a 14-yard touchdown run with 3:33 left in the first quarter.
Note: The Warriors would earn an outright Iota League title with a victory.
1st Q: Esperanza 14, Brea Olinda 0
Brea Olinda would earn an outright Kappa League title with a victory.
1st Q: Calvary Chapel 6, Los Amigos 0
Calvary Chapel’s Waldo Castrejon scored on an 11-yard touchdown run with 2:14 left in the first quarter. The 2-point conversion was not successful.
Note: Los Amigos would earn an outright Sigma League title with a win.
DAILY NEWS
Simi Valley (8-1) at Oaks Christian (7-2)
The Lions would earn an outright Marmonte League title with a victory.
Burbank (7-2) at Burroughs (6-3)
This is a Pacific League showdown with playoff implications.
Santa Barbara (6-2-1) at Thousand Oaks (5-4)
This showdown is for the Conejo Coast League’s third automatic playoff berth.
Aquinas (7-2) at Village Christian (4-5)
The Falcons would earn an outright Ironwood League title with a win.
Granada Hills (3-6) at Birmingham (4-4)
Birmingham would earn an outright West Valley League with a victory.
Kennedy (7-2) at Van Nuys (6-3)
Kennedy would earn an outright Valley Mission League title with a win.
West Ranch (4-5) at Valencia (5-4)
Valencia would earn an outright Foothill League title with a win.
SAN GABRIEL VALLEY
Cathedral (8-1) at St. Paul (6-3)
Both teams are undefeated in the Angelus League. This is a winner-take-all league title game.
South Pasadena (7-2) at La Canada (8-1)
The Tigers would earn an outright Rio Hondo League title with a win.

Damien (7-2) at Rancho Cucamonga (6-3)
The Spartans would earn an outright Baseline League championship with a win.
1st Q: La Serna 7, Santa Fe 0
Eli Perez 2-yard touchdown catch puts La Serna up 7-0 early.
Note: Both teams are undefeated in the Del Rio League. This is a winner-take-all league championship game.
Duarte (8-1) at La Puente (9-0)
The Warriors would earn an outright Miramonte League title with a win.
Schurr (8-1) at Bell Gardens (7-1)
Both teams are undefeated in the Almont League. This is a winner-take-all league championship game.
LONG BEACH
1st Q: Downey 14, Mayfair 7
Downey running back Bernando Blanco scored on a 4-yard touchdown run with 11:05 left in the first quarter.
Mayfair receiver Max Mitchell responded with a 92-yard kick return for a touchdown. The game is tied at 7 with 10:50 left in the first quarter.
Downey quarterback Oscar Rios threw a 46-yard touchdown pass to receiver Damani Porras. The Vikings are back up 14-7 with 10:33 left in the first quarter.
Note: Both teams, Mayfair and Downey entered the game undefeated in the Gateway League. This is a winner-takes-all league championship game. It will be either program’s first league title since the Gateway League’s inception in 2022.
Lakewood (5-4) at Wilson (6-3)
The winner will earn the Moore League’s third and final automatic playoff berth.
Long Beach Poly (4-5) vs. Compton (3-6)
The Jackrabbits are looking to improve to a .500 record before the postseason. Poly has already secured the Moore League’s second automatic playoff berth.
DAILY BREEZE AREA
1st: Sierra Canyon 7, Serra 0
Sierra Canyon receiver Massiah Mingo scored a 25-yard touchdown run on a reserve to go up 7-0 early in the game.
Note: Both teams are 4-0 in the Mission League. This is a winner-takes-all league championship game.
1st Q: West Torrance 7, El Segundo 0
West Torrance quarterback threw a 50-yard touchdown pass to receiver Keahi Kiaaina with 10 minutes left in the first quarter.
Note: Both teams are undefeated in the Ocean League. This is a winner-takes-all league championship game.
1st Q: North Torrance 7, Torrance 0
North Torrance sophomore quarterback Boogie Anetema threw a 25-yard touchdown pass to junior receiver King Shelton with 11:03 left in the first quarter.
Note: With a win, North Torrance would earn an outright Pioneer League title. With a win, Torrance would clinch a share of the league title.
Final: Palos Verdes 20, Mira Costa 13, OT
Palos Verdes quarterback Ryan Rakowski scored on a 1-yard touchdown run on the opening possession of overtime. Palos Verdes kicker Dylan Freebury made a 27-yard field goal as time expired in regulation to tie the game at 13. The Sea Kings will earn one of the Bay League’s three automatic playoff berths.

INLAND AREA
2nd Q: Hemet 14, Rancho Christian 7
Hemet quarterback Draven Lopez scored on a 3-yard touchdown run to put the Bulldogs up 14-7 with 11:34 left in the second quarter.
Note: Both teams are undefeated in the Sunbelt League. This is a winner-take-all title game.

1st Q: Centennial 15, Chaparral 0
The Huskies would earn an outright Big West – Upper League title with a victory.
Moreno Valley (7-2) at Canyon Springs (8-1)
Both teams are undefeated in the Inland Valley League. This is a winner-take-all title game.
2nd Q: Rancho Verde 6, Orange Vista 0
Amarion Orange’s 5-yard touchdown put Rancho Verde up 6-0 in the first quarter. The PAT was blocked.
Note: This is a winner-take-all Ivy League championship game aka the Zomalt Brothers Bowl. Both teams will receive automatic CIF-SS playoff berths. Orange Vista’s coach is Greg Zomalt. Rancho Verde’s coach is Eric Zomalt.
2nd Q: Summit 14, Eisenhower 0
This a winner-take-all Sunkist League title game.
2nd Q: Fontana 19, Bloomington 0
The winner will earn the Skyline League’s third and final automatic playoff berth.
