Shaun White Reveals How He Proposed to Nina Dobrev
Shaun White is recalling the story of proposing to Nina Dobrev.
The 36-year-old Olympic snowboarder proposed to the 34-year-old actress in New York City in late October with a 5 carat diamond ring under an arch of white roses at Golden Swan restaurant, via Vogue.

“I went into shock,” Nina admitted to the outlet. “I just froze and stared at him.”
Later in the night, the couple were joined by friends to celebrate with caviar and champagne before getting Shake Shack and dumplings delivered to the restaurant.
As for how he pulled it off, Shaun said he had his publicist send Nina a fake invitation for an intimate CFDA/Vogue dinner with Anna Wintour.
“He made the invite look so legitimate,” Nina said.
When she arrived, the only people present were Shaun and the photographer.
“He said all the right things,” she noted to Vogue.
The couple started dating in 2019 and moved in together at the beginning of the pandemic, going Instagram official with their relationship in May 2020.
The two first met during a brief encounter at an awards show in 2012, but they weren’t formally introduced until 2019 when they were both giving presentations at an event in Florida organized by Tony Robbins.
