Despite falling behind, Spurs ended up running riot against West Ham on Saturday afternoon.
The first Premier League match back since the international break did not disappoint.
Always a fierce London derby, West Ham’s trip to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium saw five goals scored and a red card shown.
Mohammed Kudus opened the game’s scoring after just 18 minutes but the away team were unable to hold on.
Dejan Kulusevski equalised after 36 minutes and set up an exciting second half.
A half-time substitution from Ange Postecoglou that saw James Maddison replaced with Pape Sarr helped inspire an impressive comeback.
The Lilywhites, thanks to goals from Yves Bissouma, Son Heung-min, and an own-goal from Alphonse Areola, ran out 4-1 winners and claimed another important three points in the race for European football.
And while none of West Ham’s squad will escape the wrath of Julen Lopetegui for what an awful performance all-round, one player came under fire more than others.
Right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka was nowhere to be seen in the build-up to Son’s 60-minute goal.
The 32-year-old Spurs captain had half the pitch to run into of during a quick-fire breakaway attack before beating Areola with a low, drilled strike.
And TNT Sports co-commentator Ally McCoist picked out Wan-Bissaka’s failure to be in the right position as key to Son’s ability to get forward so efficiently.
“I know they’re [West ham] chasing it [the game] a little bit, but for me, Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s positioning there is poor,” the 62-year-old said live on air.

Postecoglou was pleased his side were able to bounce back from a disappointing 3-2 defeat against Brighton last time out.
The Lilywhite’s latest win is their fourth of the season and bodes well ahead of next weekend’s derby away to Crystal Palace.
