Tottenham fans will love what Richarlison has posted on social media ahead of the London derby against West Ham.
Richarlison was sidelined for much of last season with injuries and he suffered another setback at the start of this campaign, which has meant that he has only two substitute appearances so far in 2024-25.
However, that might soon be about to change as Ange Postecoglou confirmed to the club’s official channel on Thursday that the 27-year-old is back in contention to play West Ham.
Richarlison will be chomping at the bit to get back out on the pitch after spending much of 2024 on the treatment table.
The former Everton man is not expected to start the London derby on Saturday but he could get an opportunity to make his mark as a substitute.
The Spurs man is certainly excited about his return, taking to Instagram stories to post a picture of himself along with the caption: “It’s comeback time.”
With the Premier League, Carabao Cup and the Europa League now up and running, Richarlison’s return is timely for Postecoglou, who will be keen to rotate his forward players.
The 27-year-old is also good enough to push Dominic Solanke and keep him on his toes if he can steer clear of injuries for the rest of the campaign.
The only potential downside is the question of his this will impact Will Lankshear’s game time. The youngster has looked bright in his Spurs cameos, but minutes may be few and far between from here on out.
