The New England Patriots held their first practice in England, and they got great news on an offensive star.
Head coach Jerod Mayo had promising news regarding Rhamondre Stevenson, who practiced with the team Friday at Harrow School in London. The running back also told reporters he expected to play Sunday. That appears to be on track toward happening as Stevenson was listed as a full participant in practice but is still questionable for Sunday.
Marcus Jones, Kyle Dugger and Michael Jordan also were upgraded as full participants in practice, so it doesn’t look like there will be setbacks for them either. What might be concerning is that rookie Javon Baker did not practice Friday due to an illness. The wide receiver hasn’t been much of a feature of the offense, so a setback for him would further harm his chance to impress.
New England listed 18 players on the injury report with Vederian Lowe already ruled out for Sunday. Drake Maye’s status didn’t change, and the rookie quarterback was a full participant in practice again.
