The New York Mets' whirlwind run in the 2024 MLB Playoffs continues (and possibly ends) tonight with Game 5 of the National League Championship Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Keep reading to learn everything you need to know about how to watch the Dodgers vs. Mets.
It's the last stop before the World Series as the top four teams in the MLB duke it out in the League Championship Series. The Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Mets kicked off the National League Championship on Sunday with a 9-0 win for the Dodgers. The Mets fought back on Monday with a 7-3 win, but the Dodgers once again pulled ahead on Wednesday with an 8-0 win and Thursday with a 10-2 win.
It's a best-of-seven series, but this will be the final game if the Dodgers win again. But it's hard to count the Mets out, following a thoroughly impressive, if not surprising, postseason that has seen the team continually beat out the top seeds just one year after failing to clinch a Playoff spot. This year, the team defeated the Milwaukee Brewers in the Wild Card round and the Philadelphia Phillies in the Division Series. Getting through the Dodgers, however, could prove to be tricky since the LA-based team has the best 2024 regular season record out of all Major League Baseball teams, with a whopping 98 wins this year.

Game 5 of the Dodgers vs. Mets match-up will air on Fox Sports 1 (FS1). Cord-cutters can live stream the game through a month-to-month package like Sling TV, DirecTV Stream, or Fubo.
With plans starting at $40/month, Sling is the cheapest option tonight. FS1 is available as part of Sling's Blue plan, which carries 43 live channels, including USA, the NFL Network, and select local channels. Sling usually runs an introductory offer that will discount users' first month to about half-off. Tonight, you can get your first month for just $15.
DirecTV Stream and Fubo are two other live TV packages with FS1 and other live channel offerings. They're more expensive than Sling, but they offer more channel options. DirecTV Stream prices start at $87/month, but you can try out the service free for five days. Fubo subscriptions start at $80/month and offer a weeklong free trial. Fubo will also knock $20 off your first month of service.
Should the Mets win and the series advance to Game 6, FS1 will also broadcast the game. If the Mets win again and force a Game 7, FOX will host. All three streaming options that we've recommended above carry both of these channels, so you might be set for the remainder of the National League Championship Series, no matter how far it goes. However, Sling's local channel coverage varies from region to region, so you might have to look elsewhere for FOX, depending on where you're located. Fortunately, it might be as simple as getting a new antenna. You can check out our guide to the best indoor antennas for more information.
Baseball fans traveling away from home can still catch the game with the help of a VPN (virtual private network), which enables users to change their device's virtual location, meaning that they can access their usual websites and subscriptions from anywhere. It's also an instant way to boost online security. Since the services we've recommended require US payment methods, this option will work best for Americans who are traveling outside of the US.
ExpressVPN is a user-friendly option for the VPN uninitiated. It's our top pick, which we break down in our ExpressVPN review, and also comes with a hassle-free 30-day money-back guarantee.
Note: The use of VPNs is illegal in certain countries, and using VPNs to access region-locked streaming content might constitute a breach of the terms of use for certain services. Insider does not endorse or condone the illegal use of VPNs.
