October has already been filled with some of the biggest sales on seasonal outerwear. One brand nobody expected to host a sale this month is Filson, but in a very rare twist of fate, the legendary outerwear maker has gone live with a fall sale that's seeing discounts of up to 70% off some of its bestsellers.
Filson's fall sale, which runs through Oct. 21, offers the perfect opportunity to bring an iconic piece of outerwear home for less or get some rugged holiday shopping done ahead of time. The biggest surprise of this sale is that the Tin Cloth Short Lined Cruiser Jacket—the one frequently seen worn by Cole Hauser's "Rip Wheeler" on Yellowstone—is nearly $100 off in every color. It's a hallmark piece from Filson that seldom sees a discount. Filson's Tin Cloth Short Lined Cruiser Jacket is an icon among men's outerwear. This jacket is made from the brand's proprietary Tin Cloth fabric and is produced by British Millerain, one of the world's most renowned suppliers of waxed fabric. It's water-resistant and durable, and the inside is lined with a lightweight canvas material that makes layering easy. It's the kind of jacket that gets better with age as you break it in, developing creases and a handsome patina for a perfectly lived-in look. They seldom see a discount, but right now they're nearly $100 off in the five available colors, and most sizes from XS to 3XL (including the long sizes) are still in stock.
