MCDONALD’S is adding 13 items to its menus for Halloween including the return of a legendary burger.
The fast-food chain will drop the items – including new cheesy bites, hot drinks topped with toasted marshmallows and the return of the McRib, on its menus on October 16.
Prepare to see each of them in McDonald’s chains across the UK and Ireland.
One legendary favourite, making a comeback after 10 long years is the McRib.
The McRib was last seen on menus in 2015.
It’s a combination of pork patty with tangy BBQ sauce, pickles and onions.
Some may have heard whispers of the return of this item due to a supposed tech glitch on the MyMcDonalds app.
It caused a lot of media attention at the time but just a few days later, McDonald’s confirmed the rumours to be true.
Thomas O’Neill, head of menu at McDonald’s UK, said: “We have heard our fans loud and clear – the fan petitions and pleas on social – and after almost a decade of anticipation, we are thrilled to bring back this iconic menu item.
“Knowing how well-loved the McRib is, we had very little choice – we had to make it happen.”
But be warned, the burger is a limited edition so we aren’t entirely sure how long it’ll stay.
On the spookier side of the menu, is the return of some seasonal fan favourites.
Such as three “spook-tacular sweets”: The Halloween M&M’s McFlurry, the Galaxy Caramel McFlurry and the Toffee Apple Pie.
Plus, the McCrispy deluxe.
The McCrispy deluxe consists of a chicken breast fillet with a crunchy topping, hot and spicy mayo, caramelised onion compote, seasonal lettuce, bacon, red onions and a cheddar cheese slice, all packed into a sourdough style bun.
Along with the returners, are three brand-new items.
First, is a “ghoulishly good cheese side”.
This is a portion of five Mozzerella and Emmental bites covered in smoky caramelised onion flavoured breadcrumbs, served with a BBQ dip.
Next up are two “extra cosy hot drinks”.
This includes a Toasted Marshmallow Latte and a Toasted Marshmallow Hot Chocolate.
Lastly, expect to see an exciting breakfast upgrade – Mini Hash Browns.
Below we have made a list of the various sizes of these new editions, along with what’s leaving McDonald’s menus.
Typically, menus are updated every few months or in alignment with a particular celebratory event like Halloween or Christmas or Easter.
Remember that prices do vary from restaurant to restaurant so you could pay more or less than these prices.
You could end up being charged more for a McDonald's meal based solely on the McDonald's restaurant you choose.
Research by The Sun found a Big Mac meal can be up to 30% cheaper at restaurants just two miles apart from each other.
You can pick up a Big Mac and fries for just £2.99 at any time by filling in a feedback survey found on McDonald’s receipts.
The receipt should come with a 12-digit code which you can enter into the Food for Thought website alongside your submitted survey.
You’ll then receive a five-digit code which is your voucher for the £2.99 offer.
There are some deals and offers you can only get if you have the My McDonald’s app, so it’s worth signing up to get money off your meals.
The MyMcDonald’s app can be downloaded on iPhone and Android phones and is quick to set up.
You can also bag freebies and discounts on your birthday if you’re a My McDonald’s app user.
The chain has recently sent out reminders to app users to fill out their birthday details – otherwise they could miss out on birthday treats.
