President Fraccari heralds success of WBSC Baseball5 World Cup Hong Kong 2024
World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) President Riccardo Fraccari praised the Baseball Association of Hong Kong, China and the Hong Kong community for staging an “amazing” WBSC Baseball5 World Cup 2024, the first WBSC World Cup hosted by Hong Kong.
Fromvolunteers to officials and the ground crews, President Fraccari acknowledgedthe great team work involved, also by all the 12 teams on the field of play.
“The incredibleplayers have represented the excellence of Baseball5, battling for the Title ofWorld Champion,” President Fraccari said. “Congratulations to all the teams,who made this second edition of the WBSC Baseball5 World Cup an amazing andmemorable event.
“It has been a true pleasure for the WBSC to have the 2024 edition of the Baseball5 World Cup in the iconic Central Harbourfront Event Space. I'm sure this tournament will remain in our memories forever. Thank you athletes for the great performances and to the LOC for providing the perfect, inspirational stage for our best athletes to perform to their best.

Fan was equally enthusiastic about the success of the WBSC Baseball5 World Cup 2024.
“I’mvery proud to have been able to organise this tournament, it’s not every daythat Hong Kong gets to host a World Cup,” Fan said. “We proved to the worldthis city is capable of hosting world-level events.
“Overthe past six days, we have witnessed displays of phenomenal sportsmanship,relentless determination for victory, and the formation of enduring friendshipsamongst our athletes.
“Thesuccess of this World Cup was only made possible with the contributions andparticipation of everyone.”
