The latest Storm Tracker Forecast from meteorologist Steve Caporizzo:
Grab the sweater! Pack the raincoat! Low pressure over the northeast keeps us cool and damp for the first half of the work week.
Temperatures peak only around 50 this afternoon, with showers, drizzle, and mist around for much of the day along and north of I-90. Towards the south, rain won't be as widespread - still, it'll stay cool and cloudy.
Up in the Adirondacks and high spots in the Green Mountains, it may be just cold enough to support periods of wintry mix and snow!
We've already seen flakes flying at the base of Whiteface Mountain this morning. Expect a light, slushy accumulation in some mountain towns. The high summits will likely pick up a few inches of snow!
A few more scattered showers and mountain flurries are possible Tuesday and Wednesday. Unsettled conditions keep temperatures largely the same, with highs right around 50.
Skies clear out for Thursday, Friday, and the weekend. Mornings will be chilly, at times down around freezing! But afternoon highs will gradually rise back into the 60's.
