ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) - A Saratoga Springs City Councilmember is looking to unseat one of the longest serving republicans in the legislature. Incumbent 44th district Senator Jim Tedisco has been in the legislature since 1983.
Democrat Minita Sanghi is the Commissioner of Finance for the city of Saratoga Springs. She is looking move her career from city hall to the State Legislature.
Sanghi says two of her top priorities in elected will be infrastructure, including roads and broadband and affordable housing. She sat down with News10's Trishna Begam to discuss the issues facing the 44th district and her plans if she's elected.
