Amanda Staveley was spotted at the NFL game held at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday, potentially shedding light on Daniel Levy’s plans for the club.
The Chicago Bears took on the Jacksonville Jaguars at Tottenham’s home ground on Sunday, with plenty of big names in attendance.
Not only were Levy and Ange Postecoglou at the event but so were Djed Spence and Timo Werner, with both players watching on from the stands along with several music stars and other celebrities.
However, it was the presence of another figure that caught the eye of the footballing media.
Football.London reveal that Amanda Staveley was among those enjoying the game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday.
The 51-year-old, who previously spearheaded Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund’s takeover of Newcastle in 2021, is thought to be interested in brokering a similar deal to buy Spurs (The Sun).
Staveley and husband Mehrdad Ghodoussi were both spotted at the Tottenham stadium for the Brentford game last month too (Daily Mail).
Football London says that Daniel Levy is looking for investment into the club amidst speculation that Staveley, backed by Middle East money, is keen on purchasing a minority stake in the North London side.
The report in Football.London goes on to suggest that should such a takeover go through, it would be interesting to see the dynamic between Levy and Staveley, who both operate in very different ways.
The publication points out that while the Spurs chairman likes to work in the shadows, attempting to do his business quietly and effectively, Staveley is more of a public presence, tending to give regular interviews to the media.
