The NFL stars who featured at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday were taken by surprise at one aspect of the state-of-the-art ground.
It was a fantastic day out for the 61,172 fans who were in attendance at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday as the Chicago Bears took on the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The majority of the crowd was cheering on for the Bears, with the Jaguars even reportedly being booed (The Mirror). As such, the ‘home crowd’ were delighted to see the Bears emerge with a comfortable 35-16 win on the day.
The Bears’ wide receiver Keenan Allen was extremely impressed with the atmosphere in North London for the game. The 32-year-old confessed that it felt like a home game to him and his teammates on Sunday.
Allen said after the win (via Football.London): “I didn’t [expect it to be that good].
“D.J. [Moore] was saying ‘It’s a home game, watch this’. I was like ‘All right, I’ll see how it looks’. I’m not used to that! That was solid.”
According to Football.London, a number of big names were in attendance at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to watch the NFL come to town.
This not only included Ange Postecoglou and Daniel Levy but also Spurs stars, Djed Spence and Timo Werner, who were spotted watching from the stance.
