GAMERS have expressed their fury after a major UK retailer cancelled some orders of the new PS5 30th anniversary edition console just weeks before release.
Sony has given the latest machine a nostalgic look and feel to mark 30 years since the first ever PlayStation was launched.

Many gaming fans were ecstatic to bag a pre-order of the special console in time for Christmas.
But some have been informed their order has been cancelled by Argos due to a processing error.
“Your phone line says it’s cancelled,” one disappointed shopper wrote to Argos on X.
“I don’t think this is fair at all. I am absolutely fuming.”
Another commented: “Absolutely disgraceful! Sort your self out!
“Numerous orders taken, false hope! You’ve ruined a lot of folks Christmas!”
A third added: “you lost me as a customer FOREVERRRRRRR.”
The PlayStation 30th anniversary collection is released on November 21, just in time for the festive period.
Only 12,300 units were made and sold in the UK, each with limited edition numbers etched onto the unit to represent the month and date of the first PlayStation console launch.
A spokesperson for Argos said: “We saw huge demand for the PlayStation 5 30th Anniversary Limited Edition console and unfortunately had to cancel some orders, after they were processed incorrectly.
“We have contacted the customers affected to tell them how sorry we are for the disappointment this has caused and confirm they will receive a full refund.”
