Bill Clinton is currently stumping for Vice President Kamala Harris in the swing state of Georgia with just weeks to go before the election. And over the weekend, while visiting his old mainstay McDonald's, the 42nd president was momentarily confused for the 46th and current POTUS, Joe Biden.
In video posted to social media by Angel Ureña, Clinton's deputy chief of staff, the 78-year-old is seen walking up to the counter wearing a red, white, and blue track jacket with the letters USA embroidered on the back and a pair of jeans. "How you doing?" Clinton asks the woman working the cash register, while another employee can be seen taking photos or video with her phone from near the kitchen area.
"You Joe?" the first employee asks the former commander-in-chief. After some inaudible back and forth, she exclaims, "Bill?!" before running around from behind the counter to give him a hug. "This is Bill, y'all!" she gushes a moment later.
Clinton's love of McDonald's was famously documented during and before his presidency. When he served as governor of Arkansas, he was known for stopping into the downtown Little Rock McDonald's, which has since been commemorated with a plaque making it the "Bill Clinton McDonald's." He also made headlines for stopping into one of the franchise's locations during a jog as president in the '90s, which was later parodied on Saturday Night Live.

However, Clinton went vegan for about a decade after undergoing an emergency procedure to have two coronary stents implanted in his heart in 2010. He has since incorporated fish and lean proteins back into his diet at his doctor's suggestion, so it's unclear if perhaps he went with the new Chicken Big Mac during his recent visit.
