Delhi pacer Navdeep Saini bowled a massive opening spell and kept the possibility of a straight win, and managed to get three point against Chhattisgarh in their opening Group D match of Ranji Trophy.
The first-class hundred from Jonty Sindhu’s career ensured Delhi to lead the first innings. This was after Chhattisgarh posted 343 even after batting first.
Though they started the final day at 33 without any wicket, Chhattisgarh ended up at 179 for 6 in 60 overs. This made both the captains to shake hands as no result was possible with a single session left to play.
This can be taken a solid start for Delhi, especially since they have been struggling in the previous two seasons.
