According to The Mirror, Tottenham Hotspur are making their stance clear as Real Madrid consider moves for two of their key stars.
Fans may have already guessed that one of the players on Los Blancos’ radar is Cristian Romero, who Real Madrid are thought to be ‘keen admirers’ of.
The report denies suggestions that the Tottenham man has any release clause in his current deal, which runs until 2027.
The publication also makes it clear that the North London side have absolutely ‘no interest’ in selling their vice-captain at the moment.
It is not just Romero who Madrid are reportedly after but also his Spurs teammate, Pedro Porro.
The Mirror claim that Carlo Ancelotti’s men are also keen on adding reinforcements on the right side of defence, with the Tottenham man one of the names on their wishlist.
However, the outlet adds that the Spaniard remains a key part of Ange Postecoglou’s plans and the Lilywhites will drive a ‘hard bargain’ if the La Liga giants come knocking for him.
Interestingly, the report reveals that one other centre-back and right-back from the Premier League have also been identified as potential targets by Madrid apart from the Spurs duo.
One of those is William Saliba, who is said to be considered ‘untouchable’ by Arsenal. The Gunners are expected to reject any offers for their star man.
The publication adds that the Spanish club are also plotting a move for Trent Alexander-Arnold but Liverpool are not expected to entertain any January offers for the England international.
