A female prisoner who kicked a police officer in the course of her transfer from Nicosia to Paphos, is to appear before the Paphos district court on Monday.
The woman, who was being transferred overnight to a detention centre in Paphos in order to appear in court for cases in which she is allegedly involved, attacked the officer upon her arrival at the station.
The Greek Cypriot woman had been arrested in Nicosia pursuant to a warrant for cases that took place in Paphos.
As she exited the vehicle, she launched the assault at an officer. Other officers immediately intervened to restrain the woman, who was then taken into custody. The officer who was attacked was not seriously injured.
