The Lagos State Ministry of Youth and Social Development has started the screening exercise for the selection of candidates for the IBILE Youth Academy.
According to the Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Mr. Mobolaji Abubakre Ogunlende, the selected candidates from many who applied were invited by email for a screening interview taking place at Ikeja Youth Centre and other designated centres across the five divisions of the State where they were expected to showcase their skills and talents as part of the criteria to determine their suitability for the next stage.
In his words: “This screening exercise will run from 10th -18th October 2024 at designated centres across the five divisions of the State. It is basically for the Assessors to have one-on-one interaction with those who intend to participate in this year’s IBILE Youth Academy. In the process, they are expected to put in nothing less than their best because it’s only the most qualified that would move to the next stage.”
The Permanent Secretary, Pharm (Mrs.) Toyin Oke-Osanyintolu assured participants of a level playfield and transparency, adding that they should take full advantage of it to experience life-transforming opportunities.
Pharm (Mrs.) Oke-Osanyintolu noted that the IBILE Youth Academy was a platform established by the Ministry to inculcate in youth the virtue of volunteerism and leadership qualities that would make them outstanding wherever they find themselves.
