ELLEN DEGENERES and wife Portia de Rossi have found themselves a place in the country.
I can reveal that the American TV host purchased a gorgeous property in the Cotswolds last weekend.
Ellen jetted back to Los Angeles with Portia after visiting the home in the South West, which has become an A-list hotspot in recent years.
A source said: “Ellen has fallen in love with the property in the Cotswolds.
“She has been on the lookout for a house in the area and often visits her celebrity pals.
“A Cotswolds house has become a status symbol in the celebrity world and Ellen wanted to join the pack.”
Last year Ellen and Portia visited the area to join acting’s Idris Elba, Rege-Jean Page and Sydney Sweeney for the unveiling of RH England, The Gallery at Aynho Park, near Banbury.
The 400-year-old stately home was taken over by RH – a California-based furniture company – and reopened last year with the A-list bash.
It seems that Ellen is following other Americans who have taken a shine to the Cotwolds.
Earlier this year The Sun on Sunday revealed how Taylor Swift was renting a pad there during her Eras Tour.
The singer is also said to be a fan of Oxfordshire’s Soho Farmhouse, a favourite of Meghan Markle, Kourtney Kardashian and the Beckhams.
Ellen’s new comedy show on Netflix, For Your Approval, has been billed as her farewell to the industry.
So it looks like she could be leaving the US world of glitz and glamour for a life of muddy boots and rolling hills.
