Sanju Samson’s T20I century made way for India in their 133-run victory and 3-0 series sweep over Bangladesh.
Pacer Mayank Yadav and spinner Ravi Bishnoi led the bowling attack for the hosts.
Sanju made the second fastest T20I century by an Indian (after Rohit Sharma), and Suryakumar made 173 runs in a massive stand for the second wicket, helping the hosts move past several records.
The team total was the second-highest in the all-time list for the highest T20I team totals after Nepal, and is also the highest for India.
Sanju’s immediate on-field action was perfect for the blockbuster action that got unfolded in the next 10.3 overs. It is quite hard to put Surya out of light in T20Is, but Sanju did that brilliantly.
Sanju soon brought up his century in 40 balls, while Surya also also reached his fifty in 23 balls.
By then, India had reached 206/3 in 15th over.
This was a massive grand total in itself, but Hardik Pandya and Riyan Parag went further on and scored 70 more runs as India reached a massive total.
The visitors did not have the necessary resources to even attempt this big of a chase with play by Towhid Hridoy and Litton das remained the distant peak points in the match’s scoresheet.
