New Delhi: Former Indian cricketer Robin Uthappa has been appointed captain of Team India for the upcoming Hong Kong Sixes 2024 tournament. On October 12, it was announced that Uthappa will lead a squad of former Indian stars, including Kedar Jadhav, Manoj Tiwary, and Stuart Binny, in the six-a-side tournament scheduled for November 1 to 3 at the Tin Kwong Road Cricket Ground.
The Hong Kong Cricket Sixes is making a comeback for the first time since 2017, featuring 12 nations competing in an exciting and fast-paced format. Each team will participate in six-a-side matches, emphasizing a thrilling style of cricket with shortened innings and aggressive gameplay. India has announced its squad for the tournament, and expectations are high, as the lineup is filled with experienced players eager to showcase their skills.

Meanwhile, Pool B consists of Australia, England, and Nepal, while Pool D features Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Oman.
The tournament will adhere to a structured format, beginning with 12 group-stage matches. This will be followed by six Bowl Matches and the quarterfinals. The semi-finals for both the plate and main draws are scheduled for November 3, culminating in the Bowl Final, Plate Final, and Cup Final, all taking place on the same day.
