Aloo Mistry, Noel Tata’s wife, is the daughter of Pallonji Shapoorji Mistry, who held both Irish citizenship and significant stakes in the Tata Group. Pallonji was also the chairman of the Shapoorji Pallonji Group.
Aloo graduated from Grant Government Medical College in 1969, specializing in anatomic pathology and clinical pathology. She furthered her training with an internship and residency at Forest Park Hospital in Saint Louis, Missouri, from 1972 to 1977.
Her family includes notable figures in the business world. Her late brother, Cyrus Mistry, served as the former chairman of the Tata Group. Her other siblings, Shapoor Mistry, heads the Shapoorji Pallonji Group, while Laila Mistry is also involved in the family business.
In addition to his role at Tata Trusts, Noel Tata serves as the chairman of Trent and Tata Investment Corporation and is the vice chairman of Tata Steel and Titan.
