Sarah Jessica Parker went silver at the New York City Ballet’s Fall Fashion gala last night. Held in New York City, the event hosted other red carpet attendees like Brooke Shields, Nicole Ari Parker, Laverne Cox, Andy Cohen and Sarita Choudhury.
Parker’s shoes for the night were Gianvito Rossi’s silver Portofino sandal. The shoe is a simple design. It features a thick strap across the toe. It also features a thick ankle strap. The ankle strap includes a large round buckle.
The sandal has a heal of just over four inches. It’s made entirely of Nappa leather.
The Portofino is a popular style. This year, Rossi celebrated the shoe’s 10th anniversary. For the commemoration the brand released 10 limited-edition metalic shades. The Portofino remains one of the company’s best-sellers.
“The Portofino sandal embodies the essence of my vision: beauty in simplicity and quality, as well as in the attention to proportions. Its design is conceived to enhance a woman’s silhouette rather than prevail over her,” Rossi said at the time. “After 10 years, our customers keep looking for it: I like to think that its lines have somehow got out of time to stay, becoming a cherished object women can always have within reach in their wardrobe.”
Just this summer, Paige Butcher was spotted wearing the shoe to the Los Angeles premiere of “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F” with husband Eddie Murphy. Prior to that, Venus Williams wore a silver pair to the Met Gala sfter parties.
