Anderson Cooper was one of the brave journalists who broadcast live from the coast of Florida during Hurricane Milton’s landfall on Wednesday evening (October 9).
The 57-year-old fan favorite CNN newscaster shared several times throughout the broadcast that he had not been in live hurricane coverage for about 10 years. As the night went on, Anderson continually noted how windy it was. As a river began flooding next to him, he and his crew had to head for shelter elsewhere before returning to the airwaves.

At one point in the broadcast, a piece of flying debris hit Anderson in the face
“If you look at the ground – whoa!” Anderson exclaimed as the flying object hit him. “That wasn’t good. We’ll probably go inside shortly.”
CNN’s Kaitlan Collins then provided an update that Anderson was indeed okay.
Anderson Cooper‘s salary was recently revealed.
