A WOMAN who thought she met the love of her life on the internet was left stunned when it turned out to be a life.
Netflix bosses will tell the chronicle of Kirat Assi who fell in love with a man she met on Facebook.
The new series lands on Netflix on October 16[/caption] Kirat – pictured – met online man Bobby through their connection with the Sikh community in London[/caption]The twisted love story began with the first message in 2009 and played out over eight long years.
Kirat met Bobby online through their shared connection with the Sikh community in London.
What turned out to be a friendship at first slowly became a serious romantic relationship.
Despite being so madly in love, Kirat was never able to meet Bobby in person, with something always getting in the way.
In an exclusive first look at the gripping new series – which lands on Neflix on October 16, Kirat speaks about her ordeal.
She says: “Bobby and I have been speaking for four years now. We’ve sent thousands of messages. One day, he tells me… ..he loves me.
“I totally ignored that comment. I was adamant he was not in the right headspace.
“I know I wasn’t in the right place to start a new relationship.”
Over time the relationship turned toxic, with Bobby becoming so controlling that Kirat was signed off work with stress.
While she believed he was based in Australia, it turned out she wasn’t speaking to who she thought she was.
