To be clear, I have only been to a handful of away games over the last 10 years and, rightly, should be well down the list of those eligible. Probably did 70% of aways from late 80's to around 2014 when life circumstances changed. Seems odd that club loyalty is only measured over the last 7-8 years but it is what it is. Still frustrating when you can't get a ticket at one of the bigger allocations like Charlton though I did make it for the cup game, going tomorrow and any other I can get a ticket for.
Keep on hearing these reports of 'hundreds' handed over to the coach organisers. No idea if true but it shouldn't happen. Those regulars will be Platinum etc but just allows spares to be sold on to anybody.
Not much on today so have been looking at various Prem club's away schemes. Most will only hand over max 10 to an individual and they all have the same sort of loyalty points but quite a few of them put around 10% of the allocation into a ballot for members not eligible and ST holders, even Man Utd apparently. One even stated that this was to prevent the idea of a 'closed shop'. Just wondered if that could be a possibility for next season?
