New Delhi: Asia Cup 2025 will be organized on Indian soil this time. Earlier, the Asia Cricket Council demanded $170 million to sell the media rights of the Asia Cup for the next 8 years. This will include global television, digital and audio rights of the Men’s Asia Cup, Women’s Asia Cup, Men’s Under-19 Asia Cup, Men’s Emerging Team Asia Cup, Women’s Under-19 Asia Cup and Women’s Emerging Team Asia Cup tournaments. Its auction will be held on November 1. To participate in this, broadcasters have been instructed to submit their technical bids in Dubai by October 30.
Rights will be available for 8 years:
The most prominent event of the tournament is the Men’s Asia Cup. A total of four editions of this will be played from 2024 to 2031. ACC has been selling media rights for all these 8 years together. India is going to host the next edition of the Asia Cup, which will be in T20 format. After this, Bangladesh will host it in 2027, which will be in ODI format. At the same time, the Asia Cup to be hosted by Pakistan in 2029 is to be played in T20 format, while Sri Lanka will host the Asia Cup in 2031, which will be in ODI format. After paying the price decided in the auction, broadcasters can acquire media rights. The price and winner of the media rights will be decided through e-auction.
ACC sets USD 170 million base price for four Asia Cup rights.
The next four editions will be held in India in 2025 (T20 format), Bangladesh in 2027 (ODI format), Pakistan in 2029 (T20 format) and Sri Lanka in 2031 (ODI format).

13 matches will be played in every edition of the Asia Cup:
There is no doubt that broadcasters earn the most in the Asia Cup during the matches between India and Pakistan. This is the reason why ACC has guaranteed to conduct at least two matches between India and Pakistan in every edition of the Asia Cup. At the same time, if both teams are successful in reaching the final, then there will also be three matches.
Pakistan got the hosting of the last edition of the Asia Cup, but due to India, the tournament was played under the hybrid model. The Indian team played all its matches in Sri Lanka. In Asia Cup 2023, two matches were played between India and Pakistan and Team India won both the matches.
