WATCH: Pace king Mayank Yadav takes maiden international wicket in 1st T20 vs Bangladesh

New Delhi: A stormy bowler has arrived to create a stir in world cricket. The name of this bowler is Mayank Yadav. Mayank, who created a stir for Lucknow Super Giants in IPL, created a storm as soon as he made his debut in world cricket. This bowler, who bowled at a speed of 157 kilometres per hour in IPL, did the same in Gwalior. He did not give any runs in the very first over of his international career. His first over was a maiden. Seeing this, India’s legendary spinner Ravichandran Ashwin wrote on social media – “Mayank Maiden Yadav.”

The first match of the 3 T20 match series between India and Bangladesh was played in Gwalior. Team India captain Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and decided to bowl first. He said that two players are making their debut in international cricket in this match. Fast bowler Mayank Yadav and all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy were handed the debut cap. In IPL, Mayank created a stir for Lucknow and Nitish for Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Mayank Yadav’s Pace:

Captain Suryakumar called Mayank Yadav to bowl in the last over (sixth over) of the powerplay. Earlier, Arshdeep Singh had worsened the condition of Bangladesh by taking two wickets. When Mayank came to bowl, everyone’s eyes were on his speed. He did not disappoint either. In the first over, he crossed the speed of 145 kilometres per hour twice. His fastest ball was 147.6 kilometres per hour.

Mayank’s speed in his first over:

First ball – 141.9 kph

Second ball – 145.1 kph (wicket)

Third ball – 138.0 kph

Fourth ball – 147.3 kph

Fifth ball – 135.2 kph

Sixth ball – 147.6 kph

Mayank Yadav’s maiden wicket:

Mayank surprised Bangladesh’s experienced batsman Mahmudullah with his speed and made him the first victim of his international career. Mahmudullah scored 1 run off 2 balls and was caught by Washington Sundar. He could not control Mayank’s speed of 146 kph and got out while trying to hit a six.

Mayank became the third Indian bowler to give no runs in his first over of T20 International. Before him, this achievement is recorded in the name of current chief selector Ajit Agarkar and Team India’s dangerous bowler Arshdeep Singh. Agarkar bowled a maiden first over of his T20 career against South Africa in Johannesburg in 2006. Arshdeep did this against England. He did not allow the English batsmen to score runs in his first over in Southampton in 2022.
