The Bears honored former Bulls star Derrick Rose on Sunday in the second quarter of their game against the Panthers. Rose, who played 15 seasons and won an MVP, retired last month.
Sky standout Angel Reese also was at Soldier Field and watched pre-game warmups from the sideline.
Rose, 36, is one of the most popular Chicago athletes in recent history. He played at Simeon, and the Bulls drafted him No. 1 overall in 2008.
He played for the Bulls from 2008 through '16, missing one season because of a torn ACL that changed the course of his career. The peak of his run with the Bulls was his 2010-11 MVP season when he led them to the Eastern Conference Finals, and he was a three-time All-Star for them.
