One week after he left the game with bruised ribs, Bears guard Teven Jenkins will play Sunday against the Panthers at Soldier Field.
With Jenkins, a left guard, in the fold, the Bears will line up with Matt Pryor at right guard. Nate Davis remains on the bench.
On Friday, coach Matt Eberflus said Jenkins’ status was based on pain management.
“It’s just being able to work through it, then it’s just pain management,” Eberflus said. “So just working through that part of it.”
Jenkins is playing in the last year of his four-year rookie contract. The Bears said they would not discuss any extension until the bye week, if at all.
The Bears made running back Velus Jones, fullback Khari Blasingame and defensive end Dominique Robinson healthy scratches.
Jenkins and receiver DeAndre Carter were both listed as questionable with ribs injuries. The Bears ruled out defensive tackle Zacch Pickens (groin) and cornerback Terell Smith (hip) on Friday.
