PRIMARK has just unveiled its “cosy season” skincare range – and beauty buffs are “in love”.
Your skincare routine should change in autumn and winter because the colder and drier weather zap moisture levels.
Primark’s autumn skincare range is a winner amongst beauty buffs[/caption] The products pack an anti-ageing punch too[/caption] Prices start as cheap as £3[/caption]As a result, Primark has declared its Vitamin C-infused products as ideal for “keeping your skin hydrated coming into the cosy season”.
Among the offerings is a cleanser, serum, eye cream and face mist.
During autumn and winter, skin often becomes dull due to a lack of sunlight and the harsh, cold air.
Vitamin C is known for its ability to brighten the skin by inhibiting melanin production, which can help to even out skin tone and bring a radiant glow.
What’s more, it is a powerful antioxidant that helps combat oxidative stress caused by environmental aggressors like cold winds and indoor heating.
Both of these winter inevitables can lead to skin damage and premature ageing.
Vitamin C will neutralise these free radicals, and therefore prevent damage to collagen and elastin fibres, which are key for skin’s firmness.
The Vitamin C Energizing Jelly Cleanser will set you back just £4 from the Primark range.
The matching PS… Skin Booster Serum with 10% Vitamin C costs just £7 and has been dubbed a skincare “game-changer”.
Primark bosses said: “Specifically formulated to brighten, smooth and firm, to even skin tone and reveal a more radiant complexion, it’s ideal for tired and dull skin or when it’s just needing that little extra boost.
“Raise your hand if your glow levels have ever been personally victimised by the changeable weather.
“The best time to use is in the morning, before your moisturiser and SPF, to ensure you get those protective antioxidant benefits throughout the day.
“These include shielding from pollution, environmental aggressors and sun damage, improving the skin’s appearance and long-term health.”
The PS… Skin + 1% Vitamin C Eye Cream will set you back £5.
