PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Another fall front will keep temperatures cool as rain returns to the forecast Friday.
The latest cold front to take aim at western Oregon and Washington brings the chance of rain back to the region. Clouds are expected to increase across the region during the morning hours. It isn't until around 10 a.m. that the rain showers arrive in Portland and much of the Willamette Valley. Cloudy and wet weather will keep temperatures in the mid-60s for Friday.
Friday's latest front will swing through the Willamette Valley quickly. Rain is not expected to last any longer than the early evening hours.
Dry, clear, and cooler conditions will return to Western Oregon and Southwest Washington Friday night. The cooling and clearing trend will help fog develop along the Willamette Valley. Visibility could be impacted Saturday morning before sunny skies return by the afternoon
Dry weekend weather is expected as sunny skies return to the Pacific Northwest. Afternoon temperatures will return to near-average conditions this weekend and last well into next week. Another round of rain is possible by the middle of next week.
