SHAMED ex Kasabian star Tom Meighan has been forced to pull the plug on several gigs after being rushed to hospital while “spitting blood”.
Tom, who was sacked from the band for attacking his then-fiancée during a drunken row, first cancelled a show in Newcastle “on doctors’ orders”.

He now has ” a large wound on his neck” following surgery and also pulled out of a concert in Leeds.
Tom’s show on Friday in Manchester is also hanging in the balance after a larges abscess was removed from his throat.
In a video filmed from his hospital bed, Tom said: “I had a f***ing abscess removed from my throat today. It was f***ing hell.
“It was literally a f***ing hell raiser. It was f***ing frightening.
“At least the bo****k has gone and I’m surviving. Listen, I’m getting fit, I’ve tried to walk around and that…and I’ve just not got it in me until tomorrow. To be continued.”
He then thanked fans for messages of support and the hospital staff who have treated him.
News of Tom’s health emergency first came to light on Tuesday, after his official Instagram page posted a message saying his Newcastle gig had been cancelled “on doctor’s orders”.
In a worrying update, his drummer Gareth added in the comments: “Tom has been struggling with this since earlier in the week but last night after the Bristol gig was spitting out blood.
“This morning I spoke with him and he was in tears with pain and struggling to swallow.
“So today we get to see him a top doctor and dentist at the earliest possible appointment to get the necessary drugs to get him through tonight’s show.”
However, Gareth said that after Tom ‘received an injection’ he was still unable to perform.
“The infection had set in, Tom’s jaw looked like he had three double chins and it was advised by the medical team to postpone tonight so Tom can get it cleared up and enable us to continue the tour,” he added.
Gareth then further explained how cancelling gigs is “a very expensive business for Tom”, meaning the decision wasn’t taken lightly.
Tom has since been forced to cancel a second gig in Leeds and a third in Manchester on Friday is also hanging in the balance.
His team said online: “We are monitoring things on an hour by hour basis. He has a serious wound on his neck but is eager to get back on stage. We’ll make a decision by 11am Friday morning.
“Tom’s health has to remain our overriding priority but things are looking positive. Thank you again for your love and support. Xx.”
Six years ago, the Kasabian frontman was booted out of the band for attacking his then-fiancée Vikki Ager in a drunken row during lockdown.
Chilling CCTV footage revealed the singer struck his partner, had his hands around her throat and dragged her into the garden by her ankles.
Meighan, who initially denied domestic assault in a police interview, was described as having “smelt heavily of intoxicants” and was acting “aggressively” and “uncooperative”.
In court, he was ordered to undertake five days in rehabilitation, carry out 200 hours community service and he received an 18-month community order.
Kasabian said they were “completely heartbroken” but couldn’t stand by what he had done.
Tom returned to performing after his conviction, but he has lived in the shadows of his former success, explaining he lost his home, job and friends.
