NEW YORK (PIX11) --- So, not everything is more expensive in New York City.
Yankees fans will shell out less cash for a seat at Yankees Stadium than Kaufmman Stadium in Kansas City when the American League Division Series kicks off Saturday at Yankee Stadium.
Fans hoping to snag a last-minute ticket to see the Yankees take on the Royals in Game 1 of the series in the Bronx will shell out around $150 for the cheapest seat in the stadium.
As of Thursday afternoon, the least expensive ticket for Saturday's game on SeatGeek was selling for $142, and $143 on TickPick, including taxes and fees. Tickets on Gametime were going for around $160 with taxes and fees.
Those looking to splurge for this weekend's game can snag a $5,000 seat on Gametime.
And if you're thinking of traveling to Kansas City for Game 3 on Wednesday, it will cost even more than getting into Yankee Stadium. The cheapest ticket was selling for $186 while the top-tier seats were going for nearly $8,000 each on Gametime.
The Yankees are looking to win their 28th World Series and first since 2009.
