Good stuff from Duke South
The latest episode of the Brotherhood Podcast is out and as usual this year, CFOS (aka Caleb Foster) is the host.
As you may have heard, the Charlotte Hornets held training camp at Duke this season, which meant a homecoming for Duke products Seth Curry, Mark Williams and Harry Giles.
Curry at this point is a grizzled veteran. He left Duke in 2013 and was not drafted. It took him a couple of years, but he established himself as a valuable NBA player, largely because of his three point shooting.
Mark Williams is a rising young big man. He was injured last season but should make a full return now. We saw at Duke just how effective he could be.
As for Giles, he’s on the comeback trail again. In high school, he was compared to Chris Webber but injuries have limited his rise. We’d love to see him stay healthy and rediscover his greatness. If not, well, he won’t be the first player who saw injuries limit his career. He’s still young and basketball is only going to last so long no matter what you do. If basketball doesn’t work out, we look forward to seeing where he goes next.
