Former BBC Radio 4 presenter Katie Prescott has teamed up with Danny Fortson to host a new technology podcast at The Times.
The Tech Podcast from The Times is a new weekly global podcast that dives deep into the latest trends and innovations in technology.
Katie Prescott is the technology business editor at The Times and a weekly columnist in the business section. She also worked for over a decade at the BBC, including as a business news presenter on Radio 4’s Today programme.
Danny Fortson, the US West Coast correspondent for The Sunday Times since 2017 and host of the long running podcast, Danny in the Valley, will bring his analysis and deep connections within Silicon Valley to provide insight into the world of tech giants and disruptive startups.

The podcast will cover a wide array of topics, from artificial intelligence to groundbreaking inventions, offering listeners an inside look at how emerging technologies are changing industries, reshaping society, and altering the global economic landscape.
In the first episode Danny joins Katie in London at the annual The Times Tech Summit, and includes a session with DeepMind chief Sir Demis Hassabis who explains that AI will be ‘incredibly positive’ for the world, with the potential to ‘have general human cognitive abilities within ten years.’
Danny debates this with Professor Neil Lawrence (Professor of Machine Learning at Cambridge University), Marc Warner (CEO & Co-Founder of Faculty AI) and Naila Murray (Director of AI Research at Meta). And Danny and Kate ask whether AI mania is more about money than the mind?
