Suspected Hezbollah arms depots, observation posts and manpower have been hit, the Israel Defense Forces have said
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has published a video purporting to show its warplanes striking Hezbollah military infrastructure in southern Lebanon.
The bombardment on Wednesday targeted the group’s manpower, arms depots, observation posts and other facilities, the IDF said in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
The clip featured aerial footage of strikes said to be carried out in the area of southern Lebanon’s settlements of Aitaroun, Maroun al-Ras and Odaisseh.
The IDF also said that a barrage of around 40 rockets was launched from Lebanon at the Safed area in Upper Galilee in northern Israel on Wednesday. Some were intercepted, while some hit the ground, it added. According to the Israeli military, several drones targeting Western Galilee were also shot down by its air defenses.

According to the Lebanese health ministry, more than 1,000 people have been killed and some 6,000 others injured in the Israeli strikes in the past several weeks amid a major escalation of hostilities.
Exchanges of fire on the border between IDF and Hezbollah have been underway since Israel launched its military operation in Gaza in response to an incursion by Hamas last October.
