limehome, Europe’s technology-based provider and operator of fully digitalized design apartments, expands into the Czech Republic with a prime location in Prague. The move into the 11th European market highlights the company’s remarkable year of growth, having already matched last year’s total growth by signing 2.000 new units by the end of Q3 2024. Amid a stagnating commercial real estate market, limehome has expanded its unit portfolio by 33 percent since January, showcasing its robust business model and adaptability as a partner for both conversions and new developments.
The entry into Prague further solidifies limehome’s presence in Central Europe. On Halkova Street, limehome takes over a refurbished existing hotel property close to Wenceslas Square. Located near the city’s commercial and cultural hub, the building will offer 49 units including spacious penthouses (90 sq m) and a shared large terrace. The Prague location is scheduled to welcome guests by November 2024.
Spain remains limehome’s second biggest market, boasting nearly 1.800 units at close to 70 locations. The company’s presence ranks it one of five hospitality brands with the most extensive location portfolio in the country. In Barcelona, the apartment provider added to already 150 units in the city by signing a new location in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat. The new property is within walking distance to the famous Camp Nou and well-connected to one of the city’s main exhibition centres, Fira de Gran Via.
Madrid continues to be one of the company’s mainstays, with a 13th property signed in the Chamberí district. The follow-up project with developer Grupo Impar will feature 53 apartments and a rooftop terrace and is expected to be available in the first half of 2026. limehome guests will also soon enjoy San Sebastián’s seaside, with apartments just steps away from La Concha beach opening in early 2025. Additional new locations in Madrid, Jerez and Orense highlight the company’s commitment to grow its footprint in Spain.
In Portugal, the hospitality scale-up has launched three adjacent properties in the old town of Évora, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famed for preserving sites from the Roman era. The properties are already live, catering to both local and international tourists within walking distance to the famous Roman Temple of Évora. The location triplet marks the third limehome city in Portugal, with over 300 signed units boosting the scale-up’s Iberia portfolio to more than 2,000 units in total.
Only a year after launching in Italy, the company increases its country portfolio with new properties in Verona, Milan, and Rome to more than 250 units. A new project in the heart of Milan’s historic city centre between Teatro alla Scala, the Duomo and Castello Sforzesco highlights limehome’s growing portfolio of unique properties. The apartments will blend the classic architectural charm of the historic building with modern design and comfort. Guests will also be able to enjoy the view over Milan from a shared balcony on the sixth floor.
In Verona, the hospitality scale-up secures its first local project at “La Vigna in Città,” renowned for its 100-year-old vineyard in the internal courtyard. Located in the heart of the Veronetta district, guests will be able to explore an area rich with medieval architecture, artisan workshops and art galleries starting in November. The apartment provider has also announced a new project in Rome’s Pigneto district, going live by the end of November, with two additional Italian locations in Salerno and the Amalfi Coast ready to welcome guests this year.
In Greece, limehome is converting an office building in central Athens into 32 serviced apartments. Located just 200 meters from Omonia Square and close to tourist hotspot Monastiraki Square, the property is ideally situated for both business and leisure travelers. The Athens property will be converted by Blend Development in a joint venture with Primetown and is expected to go live by the beginning of 2026. This project marks the first collaboration with the Greek developers, with plans for additional projects in Athens and Thessaloniki.
limehome is also expanding in Austria with significant projects in Vienna and Salzburg. In Vienna’s trendy Karmeliter Quarter in the second district, a commercial property on Tandelmarktgasse is being refurbished to house more than 50 apartments. This prime location underscores limehome’s commitment to further extend its presence in coveted tourist destinations. The Vienna property marks the seventh limehome location in the capital and is slated for completion by the end of 2026. In Salzburg, the apartment provider is converting a historic building in the old town, combining the renovation of a listed front house with refurbishing an old office building at the back. The third Salzburg location is expected to open in the third quarter of 2026.
