MARRIED At First Sight UK’s first intruders have been revealed as a wild ‘wrecking ball’ and a wedding planner.
The show format often sees intruder couples brought in around this mark, to amp up the drama.
Married At First Sight UK’s first intruders have been revealed as a wild ‘wrecking ball’ and a wedding planner[/caption]Last year, it saw viewers introduced to the likes of Erica and Jordan, and JJ and Bianca.
And now, viewers can get ready to welcome health and fitness business owner Hannah, 33, from Cheshire, and Blackburn-based wedding planner Amy, 27.
A source told The Sun: “Hannah is wild – she comes in like a wrecking ball and will shake up the show. And Amy’s a real character – she’s not shy about looking for love so has high hopes the experts will work their magic and find her a match for life.”
Hannah, 33, health and fitness business owner, Cheshire
Hannah has been single for two years[/caption]Hannah is described as “fun, fabulous, with big opinions but no filter.”
The bio of the new bride continues: “Hannah is quite the extrovert, who doesn’t stick to the norm.
“Straying away from how the rest of her family live, Hannah hasn’t gone down the route of settling down early and has focused on growing her business instead.
“Beneath the tough and ambitious exterior, Hannah admits she’s put up walls but does have a softer side that she lets people see every now and again.
“Single for two years, she believes she’s only ever met boys and not men. She wants someone who is strong, keen and ready to keep up with her energy and give her the time and effort she deserves.”
Amy, 27, wedding planner, Blackburn
Amy is a wedding planning herself[/caption]Wedding planner Amy will already be familiar to weddings due to the nature of her job.
She’s described as someone who is “Happy to relinquish control and leave her love life in the hands of experts who can do the hard work for her,” and she’s hoping they’ll “help her find someone who she can truly fall in love with.”
Amy’s bride bio goes on: “Northern girl Amy has spent the last few years planning weddings at an events management company, where she’s been helping brides and grooms create the dream day she’s always wanted.
“Looking at wedding dresses and venues, and tasting cake samples every day, Amy is constantly reminded of just how single she is.”
The hopeful bride has had three serious relationships that “never felt right.”
Amy’s wedding is set to air on Thursday this week, while Hannah’s will be early next week.
It comes as one of the show couples didn’t get the happy ending they were hoping for as one of the brides was spotted kissing her new partner in Ibiza over the weekend.
Loved-up Tayah Victoria and Adam Aveling of series six fame had the first Mafs baby.
The pair couldn’t keep their hands off each other on the programme and quickly found their feet in the outside world, moving into Adam’s Doncaster home.
Just 18 months after meeting, the couple welcomed their daughter Beau.
Season five couple Michelle Walder and Owen Jenkins also managed to make their marriage work away from the cameras and had their first child in December.
Teacher Michelle, 29, has no regrets about taking part in the experiment. She told us: “I just feel very lucky and thankful that it has worked out – and excited for everything to come.”
Michelle and Owen were both sick of dating apps when they applied in 2019.
Owen recalled: “I had been out for some drinks with a friend after work.
“While he was out for a cigarette I was scrolling on Instagram waiting for him to come back in.
“The MAFS advert was the last thing I saw, and I joked, ‘Wouldn’t it be funny if I signed up?’
“A few beers later when I was back at home I sent in the application, and the rest is history.”
Another couple to make Mafs UK history is Zoe Clifton and Jenna Robinson.
Despite a slight rocky start, where they clashed over Jenna’s vegan lifestyle, the show’s first same sex pairing are still going strong.
They even have a successful podcast together called Life With a Pod.
Jenna shed light on being involved in the show earlier this year when she told us: “We’re not legally married, and I never felt like we were. I definitely feel the process makes you take the relationship a lot more seriously and having the help of the experts… if you can survive that process it sets a firm foundation for a long-lasting relationship.”
This comes as a bit of a spoiler to fans of MAFS, which has not yet aired the episode revealing whether or not Eve and Charlie’s marriage was a success.
Eve, a fitness instructor from Belfast and now infamous star of MAFS, married co-star Charlie the day they met.
After explosive rows and Charlie quitting their honeymoon in tears, viewers have seen them agreeing to give their TV marriage another go.
However, she was caught kissing and holding her new lover in the airport before flying back to Belfast from the Spanish island, best known for its party scene.
The photo, which shows Eve, 31, and her new lover standing in the queue at the check-in desk, was taken around 11:45 on Sunday.
An onlooker told The Sun the couple was seen kissing multiple times, and when Eve noticed them, she put up her hood to better hide her face.
The onlooker said: “As a fan of MAFS UK I was shocked to see Eve with her hand around someone else other than Charlie.
“I was really rooting for them and they were one of my favourite couples.”
“[Eve] seemed really loved up with the girl at the airport. She had her arm around Eve’s waist as they were waiting to check in their bags.
“[Eve] seemed in a really bad mood. Then when we took the photo she put up her hood as if she didn’t want to be seen”.
The series was filmed earlier this year and is two weeks into its run on E4.
