Melania Says She and Trump Have a ‘Beautiful Relationship’
While Trump presses on with his 2024 campaign, his wife Melania has given the impression that, much like her stepdaughter Ivanka, she would rather not. The former First Lady has been largely MIA from her husband’s presidential run. Instead, she appears to be focused on promoting her forthcoming memoir, Melania. This week, she took a break from making weird social-media videos to sit down with Fox & Friends, where she spent her first interview in two years attempting to reassure the public that, actually, she loves spending time with her husband and is so glad he’s running for president again.
When interviewer Ainsley Earhardt asked Melania what she loves most about her husband, she responded, “His being.” Okay, romantic, if a little vague. Melania continued, “His humor, his personality, his kindness. He’s very special. His positivity. His energy, it’s unbelievable. Yeah, so we have a beautiful relationship.” When Earhardt prompted her to choose one word to describe Trump, Melania went with “caring, especially for this country.” What do they do for fun, Earhardt wanted to know? “Have dinner. Sometimes quiet dinner, or dinner with friends, and listen to music.”
Melania also called Trump “a family man,” prompting some social-media critics to bring up his repeated infidelity (not to mention allegations of sexual assault). She said Trump wanted her to have more children. “I was always perfectly fine with one,” she said, referring to her son, Barron, who just started his freshman year at NYU and is the youngest of Trump’s five children. “And Donald was encouraging to have more and I said, like, I’m completely fine with one because it’s [a] very busy life, and I know how busy he is. And I’m in charge of everything, so that’s why it’s — it’s just perfect.”
When asked how she feels about Trump running for president again, Melania said, “I support him. I know how passionate he is to make America great again.”
So there you have it: Melania thinks her life is “perfect.” I’m sure we’ll learn much more when her memoir hits shelves next week.
