Allentown, PA – The Lehigh Valley Phantoms have signed forward Nick Capone on an AHL contract for the 2024-25 season.
Capone, 22, is a 22-year-old right wing from East Haven, CT who recently completed his four-year collegiate career at UConn. Previously a sixth-round selection of the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2020, Capone scored four goals with four assists for eight points in 32 games with the Huskies last season.
In his NCAA career, the 6’2″ right-handed shooter played in 118 games for Connecticut scoring 18 goals with 24 assists for 42 points. Capone’s collegiate home games were at XL Center in Hartford which is also the home of Lehigh Valley’s Atlantic Division rival Hartford Wolf Pack.
The Lehigh Valley Phantoms open Training Camp on Sunday, September 29 and will play their first preseason game on Tuesday, October 1. Opening Night at PPL Center is Saturday, Octiober 12 against the Hartford Wolf Pack featuring a Rally Towel giveaway presented by Service Electric.

The Lehigh Valley Phantoms officially begin the 2024-25 season with Opening Night at PPL Center on October 12 against the Hartford Wolf Pack.
