Class of 2025 four-star guard Courtland Muldrew had one of the most impressive summers of anyone on the Nike EYBL circuit with Team Thad, showing off his ability to score and facilitate an offense.
Because of his play — the 6-foot-3, 170-pound guard from Oak Hill Academy — has several high-major programs after his services. At Peach Jam, Muldrew averaged 15.8 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game while shooting 52.1% from the field.
Now, he’s set to play his senior season at historic Oak Hill.
“Coming into a legendary place like Oak Hill, I just want to carry on the legacy,” Muldrew told ZAGSBLOG. “It’s real big for me, because like Cam Thomas wore it, Cole Anthony wore it. So it’s a big feeling, especially as a kid who’s kind of been overlooked his whole life. Just coming here, it’s a great feeling.”
Muldrew plans on being the “engine” that makes Oak Hill go.
“Just being that leader, that scorer, that facilitator,” he said.
As for his recruitment, Muldrew is nearing the end and things are starting to take shape. He’s previously taken official visits to Oklahoma (June 2024), Oklahoma State (Sept. 7) and Mississippi State (Sept. 14) and has Creighton (Sept. 21), Ole Miss (Sept. 28) and LSU (Oct. 12) upcoming. A decision is looming.
“I hope to commit probably by October-November,” Muldrew said.
He broke down all of the programs involved to ZAGSBLOG:
Oklahoma: “Just the way coach [Porter] Moser is. When we were there I saw practice and it went real well. He’s been in contact with me, him and Ryan Humphrey, they’ve been on me for a while now. I love their program. Just love to see what they’re going to do this season.”
Oklahoma State: “Just the fact that they play fast. Coach [Steve] Lutz has been on me since about the summer time. Him and coach Mike [Ekanem] have been showing a lot of love. So continuing to create that bond. I had a great time on my visit there as well. Coach Lutz was the first coach to like break down all my statistics, so that was good to see from him. Just to see the way he’s into all of this recruiting stuff, seeing him, the way he broke down all of my makes, misses and stuff like that. What I need to work on. That was really good to see.”
Mississippi State: “I loved every second of it. You can feel love when it’s there, and I definitely feel the love from coach [Chris] Jans, coach David Anwar. The whole coaching staff has really just been consistently showing love and I feel like I can have a home here. You really get a home there so I feel it.”
Creighton: “It’ll be good to see what they have in store for me. They like the way I compete and the way I can score the ball, the way I facilitate. So they really like my overall game and the way I fit. They’re a high power offensive program. So I’m interested to see how they practice, interested to see what they expect from me.”
Ole Miss: “Coach [Wes] Flanigan has been on me for about a year. So just staying locked in with him. He’s been real consistent with me, real upfront with me. They are going to lose a lot of seniors this year including their point guard, so interesting spot to see what they have for me.”
LSU: “Great atmosphere. It will be a great weekend. Just seeing whatever — I’m really just trying to figure out what place I can call home and be successful my freshman year. So going in there, seeing — I see they have a couple guards in Curtis Givens, Vyctorius Miller — coming in as freshman. Just seeing how I can see myself playing with them and what they expect from me.”

Muldrew is ranked the No. 96 overall prospect in the 2025 class per 247Sports. He is originally from Arkansas and attended Har-Ber before transferring to Oak Hill.
Muldrew’s father, Carmelo, played sports up until college. Muldrew also has an older brother who played sports and two younger sisters.
“Courtland is a tough hard-nosed competitor,” Carmelo Muldrew said. “He plays with a chip on his shoulder and plays offense and defense which shows he loves the game of basketball.”
