Good stuff from an interesting guy
The latest Brotherhood Podcast is out and today’s guest is Stanford transfer Neil Begovich. He’s a 6th-year player who doesn’t get in a whole lot of games, but host Caleb Foster says he does a lot behind the scenes and he has an interesting backstory. Here’s an excerpt from episode #38:
““Yeah, I think obviously I’ve been a lifelong Duke fan, and you know, it’s like impossible to say no to Duke, but I think I try to have a long-term outlook, like I really want to be a part of something bigger and try and impact winning at the highest level.
“That, combined with like the academic side of things, you know, Fuqua Business School is one of the best in the world, and so I think we’ll do that, and I just think down the line, like the memories we’re making together and stuff right now, like when I’m, you know, 40 years from now, I’ll look back and be really grateful that I was able to have this experience and be around like the best of the best, you know, in terms of people and basketball. So, I mean, kind of a no-brainer, I think.”
He’s an interesting guy with an interesting story. Definitely worth a listen.
We should also mention how nicely Caleb Foster has grown into his role as host. He seems like a guy who is naturally quiet and reserved and this may not be the most natural thing for him. He’s doing a great job.
